Airlink continues to support long-term recovery in Florida to get communities back on their feet. Your support in action:

Situation overview

Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast as a dangerous Category 4 hurricane during the last week of September 2022.

The system was “catastrophic” with winds of 150 mph hitting the coast accompanied by torrential rains and historic storm surge. Parts of Florida experienced 18 feet of surge, which is enough to fully submerge a one-story house. The destruction meant many families lost everything.

We are responding to provide airlift on behalf of our NGO partners sending emergency response teams and will support long-term recovery for as long as there is need.

Airlink has previously responded in Florida following Hurricanes Irma (2017) and Michael (2018).
