Our Response

At least 42 people lost their lives as wildfires raged through Northern California in late 2017. More than 200,000 acres of land and thousands of structures burned in Napa, Lake, Sonoma, Mendocino, Butte and Solano counties, making this one of the largest and costliest fires in state history.

As first responders made progress containing the fires, Airlink began working with its airline partners to transport partners’ staff and volunteers to impacted communities. Operation BBQ Relief and National VOAD provided support services to displaced residents and first responders, in the form of food aid, response coordination, and case management.
