In August, a straight-line windstorm known as a derecho roared across Iowa, Indiana, Nebraska and other midwestern U.S. states with winds of more than 100 MPH. In addition to building damage, the high winds decimated corn and other crops and agricultural infrastructure. With millions of people left with electricity and access to clean water, Airlink launched a response with Operation BBQ, which will provide hot meals to those impacted.
