As Airlink’s North American Humanitarian Program Manager, Coby Gibson manages Airlink’s NGO partnerships to respond effectively to disasters and emergencies across the continental United States and Canada.
Prior to joining Airlink, Coby worked as a Community Disaster Program Specialist for the American Red Cross. In this role, he managed disaster preparedness and response volunteers in the District of Columbia. He deployed to disasters such as Hurricane Beryl, LA Wildfires, tornadoes in St Louis, flooding in Kerrville Texas, and Super Typhoon Sinlaku in Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. On these deployments, he worked with Red Cross clients to make sustainable transition plans out of the shelter.
Originally from Princeton, NJ, Coby attended Dartmouth College where he double majored in Philosophy and Anthropology. Coby holds a masters of professional studies in Emergency and Disaster Management from the School of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University.
In his free time, Coby enjoys watching movies, going for runs, and finding ways to get into the outdoors.
