Alicia Lines is the President of CNS & Regional Director, Financial & Distribution Services The Americas. Alicia Lines holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She began her career in the travel and tourism industry through her family’s business, leading sales and marketing activities for Alamo, Hyatt, and Hilton Hotels in Costa Rica. Alicia joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2001 as BSP Coordinator in the Dominican Republic. She later became Country Manager for the Western Caribbean, overseeing operations in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Cuba. During this period, she also served as Regional Project Manager for the Americas under the Simplifying the Business initiative. In that role, she contributed to major industry advancements, including: elimination of paper tickets, implementation of bar-coded boarding passes, and additional enhancements to the passenger experience.
After transferring to IATA’s Regional Office in Miami in 2012, Alicia held several key leadership roles. These included Head of the Regional Vice-President’s Office, where she coordinated strategic initiatives and resource allocation across the Americas; Head of Human Resources; and Regional Director of Financial and Distribution Services. As Regional Director of Financial and Distribution Services, she oversees the IATA Settlement Systems (ISS), which support the efficient, reliable, and secure movement of funds between airlines and their travel partners. She also leads transformation initiatives across aviation payments, distribution, and the consumer shopping experience, including projects such as Modern Airline Retailing and One Order. In April 2024, Alicia assumed additional responsibility for regional cargo operations and was appointed Interim President of Cargo Network Services (CNS). In January 2025, she was officially confirmed as President of CNS. CNS is a wholly owned subsidiary of IATA dedicated to supporting the full air logistics chain in the United States. It provides business solutions that strengthen connectivity, innovation, and efficiency across the air cargo sector.
