Airlink in North America
Airlink’s first response in North America was in 2012, mobilizing responders following Hurricane Sandy. Since, the Atlantic Hurricane Season has become a cornerstone of the organization’s North American program, partnering with airlines and nonprofits to send aid and volunteers to support immediate needs and long-term recovery, year after year. Airlink also responds to severe weather including storms and tornadoes, along with floods and wildfires across the U.S. and Canada.
A critical component of Airlink’s response condition is the development of localized regional partnerships between Airlink, local airlines, and local disaster response organizations.
