Damien Devdariani is a seasoned development professional with extensive experience in building and scaling corporate and foundation giving programs across sectors, including health equity, and human rights. At Airlink, he leads the organization’s corporate partnerships portfolio, designing and executing strategies to grow and diversify philanthropic revenue in support of rapid-response logistics and humanitarian aid.
Prior to joining Airlink, Damien held senior fundraising roles at prominent nonprofits such as the Salvation Army, the PAN Foundation, and Equality Now. He has managed complex, high-value donor portfolios and led multi-channel fundraising campaigns with global reach. In these positions, he cultivated partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and major brands, aligning shared values with social impact goals to support programs addressing healthcare equity, patient assistance, and gender justice.
Earlier in his career, Damien worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Georgia, where he supported asylum seekers and refugee populations, particularly women and children displaced by conflict. He also worked as a Washington, DC correspondent for Georgian media, reporting on U.S. policy and international affairs. That experience deepened his understanding of global development issues and public communication—skills he continues to apply in his fundraising work.
Damien holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Georgian Technical University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Ilia State University. He also studied Political Science at KU Leuven in Belgium as an exchange student. He later moved to the United States through the Atlas Corps Fellowship program, becoming the first Georgian national to participate in the initiative, which supports emerging nonprofit professionals through international service and leadership development.
Proud of his Georgian heritage, Damien enjoys introducing friends to his country’s cuisine and wine traditions. He lives with his family in Alexandria, Virginia.
