Typhoon Mangkhut, also known as Typhoon Ompong, hit the Philippines on September 14, 2018.
The super storm affected more than 2.4 million people - triggering landslides, destroying hundreds of homes, displacing 148,000, and killing more than 70.
Airlink partner World Hope International has been working in remote villages since the typhoon hit to distribute food, water and other relief supplies.
"People's homes were literally flattened there," says World Hope International.
On September 26th, Airlink, with support from United Airlines and Emirates, sent five World Hope International 'Fresh Water' volunteers to Luzon to distribute water filtration systems.
The team of five trained volunteers will spend one week in Luzon. Check back for updates as this is a developing response.
