Rita Pratte

Humanitarian Programs Manager

Rita is a high energy, efficiency-focused, problem solving, member of the humanitarian programs team. The team works to lessen the logistic burden on nonprofit partners by coordinating flights and transportation with the intent  of supporting communities in crisis. Day-to-day, Rita coordinates passenger and cargo operations, and engages airline partners to identify airlift opportunities. This includes deploying to the field to collaborate with partners, better understand air logistics needs, and communicate the impact of the operation to wider stakeholders.

Rita came to Airlink in 2020 with experience in the  disaster relief sector. Most recently serving as the external affairs and disaster services manager for the United Way Association of South Carolina where she developed emergency response plans with partners, bolstered relationships with Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), and responded to storms, including Hurricanes Mathew, Maria, Irma, Michael, Florence, and Dorian and the 2019 Nebraska floods. She also served as disaster recovery advisor and community engagement and operations manager at SBP.

Rita earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Communications, Media and Cultural Studies from Emmanuel College and is an AmeriCorps alumna. 

Her passion for this work is intrinsic, and comes each day with a ”can do ” attitude. She currently resides in Springfield, VA and enjoys cycling, yoga, and spending time at the lake with family in her spare time.
