Meagan is Airlink’s Communications Manager. She joined the Airlink team in 2019 as an accomplished digital storyteller and photographer, with nearly a decade of experience in communications and program management roles in humanitarian and development contexts. Meg most recently worked on strategic communications and brand development with multiple teams at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. She also acted as the community manager in Geneva for the Nonviolent Peaceforce, an organization advocating for peace through unarmed civilian strategies in some of the most violent contexts around the world.
Before relocating to Paris, Meg worked for the U.S Office of Refugee Resettlement as a senior analyst and program manager. Her humanitarian and development roles focused on displaced populations on the Thai/Burma border with a USAID and World Education funded project, Global Border Studies/Karen Refugee Committee-Education Entity, in various community and local leadership development initiatives. She also had a long relationship with a refugee women’s micro-finance initiative based in East Africa and Washington, DC, where she served in a number of different capacities.
Meg earned a Masters in Nationalism and Ethnic Studies, with a particular focus on forced migration, from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a Masters in Global Communications for International Development from the American University of Paris.
