As Airlink’s Development Associate, Sidney supports development operations and donor engagement to expand and sustain Airlink’s humanitarian mission. With a focus on Airlink’s individual giving program, she is responsible for stewarding a diverse portfolio of donors, coordinating digital campaigns, and collaborating on cross-channel fundraising initiatives.
Sidney’s background is in international affairs and nonprofit development, having previously worked at Improving Economies for Stronger Communities as a New Business Associate. In this role, she supported proposal development and capture efforts for USAID and USDA-funded projects aimed at catalyzing economic growth in emerging economies. Prior to this, Sidney pursued a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Mexico, where she supported undergraduate English courses and led cross-cultural programming at the Autonomous University of Chiapas in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
A native of Houston, Texas, Sidney earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her master’s degree in Global Affairs from Rice University.
In her free time, Sidney enjoys fiber arts, tabletop roleplaying games, Latin dancing, and cozying up with a good book.
