Our Response

Tropical Storm Barry hit the Gulf of Mexico with heavy rainfall and storm surge on Thursday. This is the first tropical system to hit the U.S. this year and it strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane as it made landfall on July 13. Coastal Louisiana is seeing as much as 25 inches of rain across the coastal parts of the state. Barry is slow moving so flooding remains a significant concern across Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, and Mississippi.

Many of our relief partners count on Airlink’s logistical and transportation services to reach communities in crisis when air transportation is essential, costs are expensive, and flights are in short supply.

By donating to Airlink, you provide transportation for relief workers and humanitarian aid following disasters and other humanitarian crises. With your help, survivors are rescued, homes are restored, medical care is given, and so much more — ultimately helping people and communities recover more quickly.
