Our Response

On the third of June, lava, ash, and toxic gases erupted from the Fuego Volcano 27 miles outside of Guatemala City. The eruption killed nearly 200 people and forced the displacement of more than 12,000 people.

Airlink is responding to this disaster with the help of United Airlines. 34 volunteers with World Hope International spent a week in Guatemala disseminating 1,000 water purification kits and 500 portable solar chargers. They also joined local people and faith-based community groups in extensive clean up efforts.Â
