Discussion & Insight: Providing support for refugees, IDPs, and children

According to UNICEF and UNHCR, children make up half of all refugees from the war in Ukraine.

At the beginning of May, Lizzy Kniffin (Airlink) and Abril Páez (CADENA) discussed how nonprofit organization, CADENA International, is supporting children, refugees, and IDPs at the Poland-Ukraine border. CADENA has set up a psychological center to provide comfort, care, and learning for children all while offering a space place as hundreds of people cross the border every day.

Airlink has made flights possible for 14 members of the CADENA team to arrive on the ground, and has in total now provided flights for 353 responders from over 20 NGOs as of late June to travel to Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and Slovakia.

Your support of Airlink goes a long way in ensuring our delivery of humanitarian aid, responders, and to sustain programs like this one. Thank you!
