FLIGHTPATH S3 EP.1:

Dr. Douglas Jackson of Project C.U.R.E. on his organization's Ukraine response

This week Steve Smith is joined by Dr. Douglas Jackson the CEO of Airlink’s nonprofit partner, Project C.U.R.E., to discuss models for responding to the refugee crisis in Ukraine and how the humanitarian community is tackling the various challenges in supporting Ukrainian refugees and displaced people.

Doug explains how Project C.U.R.E., the world’s largest distributor of donated medical relief, got its start with humble beginnings in 1987 and how they conduct their unique assessment process when helping hospitals around the world. He touches on his personal journey, shares his thoughts on the trajectory of the humanitarian aid sector, and describes what it’s like to run an organization with yearly volunteers totaling 30,000.

Airlink is proud to have coordinated and supported the delivery of nine separate shipments of medical supplies on behalf of Project C.U.R.E. to assist Ukrainians, and to be partnered with Project C.U.R.E. since 2014 in response to the devastating Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
