Sarah Aoun is head of aircraft investors – capital markets for Airbus focusing on the US and Middle East regions. She previous served as the director of aircraft financing – capital markets for Airbus Americas. Among Sarah’s responsibilities is the management of aircraft finance exposure through identifying, structuring and implementing sell-down transactions with aircraft financing exposure that is either implemented or committed. She is also in charge of developing relationships with banks and capital market investors worldwide who are active or interested in aircraft financing in an effort to generate interest from new sources of capital.
Sarah has become very active in supporting the creation of alternative sources for aircraft financing and developing capital market investors’ interest in the financing of non-US airlines.
Sarah received the “40 under 40” award twice in a row by the Airlines Economics Journal for her achievements.
Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration and Legal Studies (with honors) at the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Golden Gate Law School in San Francisco, California.
Her previous practice focused on aviation and aerospace law. Her experience includes the sale and purchase, financing, leasing and insurance of aircraft and associated equipment for some of the largest international airlines and private jet operators in the Middle East and globally.
She also received a certificate of accomplishment with distinction in Aircraft Acquisition and Financing from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Geneva, Switzerland.
