Emily Sperling

Strategic Advisor

Believing everyone deserves immediate access to basic necessities and assistance following catastrophe, Emily serves as a strategic advisor to Airlink. Emily is an experienced and innovative leader who assists the organization by leading special initiatives and supporting activities to increase Airlink’s capacity to deliver relief workers and humanitarian aid to people and communities in need.

Emily previously served as the president of ShelterBox USA, an international relief organization providing shelter and other critical aid to families and communities impacted by disasters. She garnered extensive experience in communications, business development, fundraising and stakeholder relations working in the humanitarian, economic development and agriculture sectors. She served as the community relations director of the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County, executive director of the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences alumni organization, and manager of communications and member services for the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Florida.
