Charlotte Vaksmann took on her role as Director, Marketing and Sales Operations in Commercial Engines, in September 2022. In this position, she acts as a pivotal liaison between Pratt & Whitney’s senior leadership and customer business organizations to support alignment and success to support Pratt’s customers.
With over 18 years of experience in the aerospace sector, Charlotte has cultivated a diverse skill set. Her career began at Airbus where she participated in a talent development program, holding roles in the Propulsive System department and in Finance, both at the Toulouse Headquarters and then in Washington DC and Dublin. Charlotte furthered her expertise at Goodrich Aerospace Europe (UTAS – Raytheon Technologies) and later at Haynes International, managing strategic OEM accounts across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
In 2013, Charlotte joined Chromalloy, undertaking roles with increasing responsibilities within the commercial team. She was first based in Europe before relocating to the US. Most recently she was the Director, Strategy and Business Development where she grew their market footprint in key regions while working on several strategic M&A assignments.
Charlotte is also known for her commitment to Diversity and Inclusion. She founded and led the “Women of Chromalloy” (WoC), an Employee Resource Group aimed at promoting women’s advancement within the industry. As someone deeply involved in several industry organizations including ISTAT and IAWA (International Aviation Women’s Association), she proudly represents Pratt & Whitney in these spheres, serving as an executive sponsor for IAWA and actively supporting various ERGs at Pratt & Whitney.
Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Lille Business School and master’s degrees from the ESCEM Business School in France and the University of Macquarie in Sydney, Australia.
