Ashley Bustillo

Humanitarian Programs Associate

As Airlink’s Humanitarian Programs Associate, Ashley supports Airlink’s emergency response activities including the mobilization of personnel for NGO partners.

Prior to joining Airlink, Ashley worked as a Project Assistant for Latin America and the Caribbean at World Vision US. In this role, she supported the regional engagement team and helped foster relationships with private sector stakeholders in the region. She gained additional international experience by studying abroad in Brussels, Belgium where she interned with L’Osservatorio, a research center for civilian victims of conflict. Her passion for international humanitarian work comes from the desire to alleviate poverty and violence in her family’s country of origin Honduras.

Originally from Miami, FL, Ashley holds a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Mass Communication from the University of Florida and an M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University where she focused on international development and conflict resolution.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys exploring parks in the DMV area and watching international movies and shows to learn new languages.
