Southern Texas Flooding
This is an ongoing response. Check back here for updates as we continue our response efforts.
Heavy rainfall in Southern Texas beginning on Wednesday June 20, 2018 has caused widespread flooding in the region. Since the storms began, areas of the coast have received 10-15 inches of rain and parts of the state have seen more than 20 inches of rainfall in two short days.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of emergency in six counties on Thursday and local officials have reported hundreds of rescues.
Airlink partnered with United Airlines to move volunteers into the region to assist with flooding response and muck-and-gut efforts.
23 All Hands and Hearts volunteers and 70 Team Rubicon USA volunteers were able to lend a hand to communities in need through air support provided by Airlink.
