Clean Water and WASH Training

Drought and other extreme weather conditions have created a clean water crisis for rural areas around San Pedro Sula, Honduras. In an effort to prevent waterborne diseases and related deaths and illnesses, volunteers from Waves For Water were flown to the area by Airlink to implement water filtration systems addressing immediate need for 5,000 people. The team also trained community members on better water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) practices for the long-term.
