Our Response

Operation BBQ Relief trained 50 field leadership and volunteers on the use of two new pieces of equipment for their mass feeding operations while providing food to 6,500 patients and healthcare employees at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The organization is dedicated to providing hot meals to communities affected by disaster and the mock deployment is an integral part in ensuring their teams are able to meet the requirements of mass feeding operations. The organization estimates that the addition of this new equipment, as well as the training of volunteers and staff on its use, will enable them to scale up their operations by 20% this year.
