Our Response

Heavy rainfall in Southern Texas beginning on Wednesday June 20, 2018 has caused widespread flooding in the region. Following the storms, areas of the coast received 10-15 inches of rain and parts of the state saw more than 20 inches of rainfall in just two days.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of emergency in six counties the following day, and local officials reported hundreds of rescues.

Airlink partnered with United Airlines to move volunteers into the region to assist with flooding response through muck-and-gut and expedient home repair. Volunteers and from around the country – 23 from All Hands and Hearts and 70 from Team Rubicon USA – were able to lend a hand to communities in need through air support provided by Airlink.Â
