Kerala Flood Relief

Airlink is currently responding to historic flooding in the southern state of Kerala, India. As of early September, the flooding had caused more than 400 deaths and displaced more than 800,000 people.

In partnership with United Airlines, Airlink is supporting flights for four CADENA volunteers.

The volunteers are working to establish longterm water filtration systems. The systems filter out 99.99999% of all bacteria, (salmonella, cholera, leptospirosis, and E. coli) and remove 99.9999% of all protozoa organisms (giardia and cryptosporidium), effectively preventing deadly diseases most common in this type of disaster.

This is an ongoing response, please check back soon for updates from the field.
